Holiday weather in Cyprus
The Cyprian climate is typically Mediterranean, with very hot summers from June to September. Inland temperatures can soar over 40°C, but refreshing respite can be found at higher altitudes and along the coasts. Cyprus can suffer drought years and summers are usually cloudless and almost always completely dry. Winters are usually moderately wet with temperatures around 15°C.
Airport information
Larnaca International Airport (LCA) is the chief international airport, followed by Paphos International Airport (PFO). Both are in Southern Cyprus, and are serviced by a variety of different carriers, the main one being the Cypriot Cyprus Airways. There are flight connections with most major European towns and many Eastern European countries. There are no flights to Turkey from the south.
