Winters December to February has temperatures between -5 and zero, and can have a significant snowfall, especially in the higher hilly or mountainous areas.

Ruzyne Airport is located about 10 km from the centre of Prague, and is the hub of Czech Airlines (CSA). It services flights to many destinations in Europe. There are many low-cost airlines going to Prague. Other smaller international airports are in Brno, Ostrava, Pardubic and Karlovy Vary. Discounts can be had on Czech Republic flights during the winter months, especially outside Prague.
