Ireland has a maritime climate with cool summers and mild winters. June to September is summer season with temperatures between 16 and 20C and nights around 10C. Winters are and damp and showers are frequent all year round. Temperatures more inland can be a bit higher in summer and a bit colder in winter. Good time to visit is May, as it is the driest and most sunny month of the year.

Dublin Airport (DUB) located north of Dublin is Ireland’s main airport, it is the most connected, with flights to many cities in the Canada, US, the UK, continental Europe. Shannon International Airport (SNN) in Shannon, Cork Airport (ORK) in Cork, and Knock (NOC) in County Mayo are the other three international airports. Ireland's two major airlines Aer Lingus and Ryanair are low-cost airlines.
