The Jalisco has perfect weather for holidays producing more than 330 days of sunshine a year; it is very hot and stifling in the summer and worth avoiding cities during the daytime. The winters are great. Summer is the rainy season, most favourable months to go is November through to March.

International Airport of Guadalajara (GDL), "Miguel Hidalgo," is located 17 km from Guadalajara; it is the country's third most important airport and a hub for Mexicana, Aeromexico Connect. Flights go to many destinations in Mexico, the United States, Central America, with connections to Europe and South America. Numerous low-cost airlines also serve the airport, flying to Mexican destinations.
