The climate is temperate, and you'll find agreeable weather, from April to October, and nearly year-round in the Algarve. Overall the wettest season is from November to March. The northwest has mild winters with high levels of rainfall and fairly short summers. The northeast has longer winters and hot summers. Generally weather is warm with very little rain except in early spring and autumn.

Madeira and Azores Islands also have international airports, Funchal(FNC) at Madeira and Ponta Delgada (PDL) on São Miguel island.
