Florida Panhandle Vacation Rentals

About Florida Panhandle

The Florida Panhandle is the narrow strip of land that extends westward from the top of the peninsula. It has beautiful shallow white sand beaches with warm waters but few tourist oriented features. Green northwest corner, known as the Panhandle, sometimes called "the other Florida," since in addition to palm trees what thrives here are the magnolias, live oaks, and loblolly pines common in the rest of the Deep South. Nicknamed the Redneck Riviera, the Panhandle has many of Florida's most glorious white-sand beaches, and the most productive fishing waters in the world. It has glitzy resorts, campgrounds where possums and deer invite themselves to lunch, and every kind of lodging in between.

The coast and islands are a paradise for fishermen, and 'foodies' will enjoy the plentiful local oysters.
