About Ohio
Located to the south of Lake Erie, Ohio is the easternmost of the Great Lake states. The sandy shores of Lake Erie mark the state northern border and the long and winding Ohio River marks its southern border. Columbus is capital and the largest city in both area and population - it is the 15th-largest city in the USA. Climate in Ohio ranges from one extreme to the other with some slight humidity. Thunderstorms and light rain can be expected in the late spring and early summer. September is warm and sunny and some of the most beautiful foliage can be found in Ohio at this time of year. October is cool. Winters are cold with plenty of snow in Northern Ohio round Lake Erie.
