Built in an architectural style typical of this region, this free-standing granite house sits on more than an acre of private ground in a secluded spot bordered by a pine forest. This totally unspoiled and quiet location provides an ideal environment of relaxation, combined with facilities in the region for sailing, fishing, hiking, riding and of course fine cuisine. The house will comfortably accommodate six people. As well as by road, this region can also easily be reached by either of two international airports (Lorient and Quimper) or by train with the TGV.

The nearby village of Nevéz is just three miles away, and has a supermarket and a variety of shops. Nearby is Pont-Aven, a lovely small town which was home of the Gauguin painting school in the last century, and where there are many artist's shops and a supermarket. Roscoff is one-hour's drive away and it is a two-hour drive to St. Malo. Within easy reach are Concarneau, Benodet, Pont-l'Abbé, Pouldu, Lorient, Quiberon, Isle of Groix, Belle-ile, etc. There are marinas and many sightseeing attractions in the area, and of course a wonderful coast with many beaches.

Rental notes: Rental price per week July and August (9 weeks): Euro 1350.-- June and September (8 weeks): Euro 900.-- Low season (October thru May): Euro 650.-- There is an additional one time fee of Euro 120.- per stay for the final cleaning of the house. A reduced rental price may be negotiated for extended rental periods. At time of reservation, 50% to be paid by bank transfer or cheque. The balance is payable on arrival. Bank details will be provided upon final booking. Housekeeping The local housekeeping person will meet you upon your arrival to show you around, answering any questions you may have. Should you require her advice during your stay, she can be reached via the contact details provided upon final booking. This is also where to call to inform her of your arrival date and time, as well as your expected departure date. If you do not bring your own bed sheets, dish- and bath towels, the local housekeeper will be happy to provide these for a modest fee of Euro 20.- per bed (ironing, etc. is included). There is a washing machine on the ground floor which is free of charge and at your disposal. Electricity charge, based on the current rate, will be calculated by the local housekeeper at the end of your stay. Dogs are allowed in the house, but there will be an additional charge of 10 Euros for the final cleaning. At the beginning of your holiday, the local housekeeper will ask you for a deposit of 300.- Euros.

Adjoining the kitchen is an imposing living/dining room, dominated by a huge granite fireplace and a solid oak table with seating for up to ten. The décor is rounded off with stylish rustic furniture. Both kitchen and living area have access to the patio, which provides dramatic views south over the Atlantic Ocean. Built on to the living room is a guest room for two people. It has its own entrance and a separate toilet and shower. Located on the upper floor is a semi-enclosed room with two beds. Adjoining this is a fully-enclosed bedroom for two people offering ocean views, and including its own bath/shower/WC. There are three phones in the house. For outgoing calls, you need any telecom card valid for France. There is also Satellite TV and a washing machine on the ground floor, The house has free High Speed ADSL Internet access.
