A cosy detached cottage ideal for parties wanting to take part in outward bound activities including walking, playing golf, fishing in The Rivers Spey and Avon, cycling or just relaxing in the natural surroundings and enjoying local sights and experiences.
The cottage is very comfortable, fully furnished with central heating and there are gardens and plentiful parking. Well behaved dogs are welcome.
It is self-catering, but local shops deliver and there are a variety of eateries within half an hours drive.

The cottage is in a fairly remote part of the Scottish Highlands, near The Glenlivet Whisky Distillery, and as such on part of The Malt Whisky Trail.It also has The Speyside Way going past: a trail walk largely within The Glenlivet Estate. The setting of the cottage is within the grounds of Glenlivet House, very rural and with views of grouse moors, forest plantations and small highland farms.
The nearest town is Elgin to the north, which is close to The Moray Firth and a beautiful coastline.
Inverness and Aberdeen airports are both just over an hours drive away, and the nearest train station for mainline trains from Edinburgh and Glasgow is Aviemore, 40 mins drive away. This is also the largest ski and outward bound centre in Scotland.
There is an abundance of local history nearby, including churches, castles - including the Queens summer residence of Balmoral which is an hours drive away,and ancient villages and sites of interest.
The nearest villages are Ballindalloch and Tomnavoulin, which just have small post offices now. Slightly further away, 15/20 minutes drive, are Aberlour and Grantown-on-Spey which have a small supermarket and a selection of other small specialist shops.
There are a variety of eateries and restaurants within half an hours drive, and many local shops deliver.

The accommodation is fully furnished with Central Heating, and sleeps up to 14 people. It consists of a double/twin room with en-suite bath/shower room and adjoining small single bedroom, 3 other twin rooms, and large bedroom with a small double bed and a single bed. There is also a further bathroom, a shower room and two separate WCs. There is also a small 'through' bunk room.
The fully equipped kitchen has an AGA cooker and adjoining utility room and is next to a large dining/reception area. The upstairs sitting room has an open log fireplace and Sky TV with DVD/video recorder.
There is a pay-telephone, and secure gun cabinet.
Outside Area:There are extensive gardens surrounding the cottage, beyond which is open moorland. There is free-range domestic wildlife: ducks, chickens etc in the grounds, and there is plentiful parking.
A BBQ can be supplied on request, and well behaved dogs are welcome.
