Quinta do Jogadouro is an unusual farmhouse where 4 persons can sleep converted from the 500 years old Benedictine monastery. There are 3 open space divisions each joined by wooden stairways on fireplace backwards. Higher Level: mezzanine with living room / one double-room with Bathroom en suite / a veranda with panoramic view to beautiful gardens, at the other side windows to terrace and garden. Lower Level: Bedroom also with bathroom en suite is reached by stairways down, with double bed and decorated in bright Indian colours. The kitchen (fully equipped - oven, 4 hobs, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, etc.) with door to outside gardens that surrounds the whole house. Large living/ dinning room with fireplace. Next to this main house there is a smaller house - The House of the Chapel - converted from an old Benedictine Chapel also with fireplace and a small terrace where 2 persons can sleep (one couple) with private bathroom, a small kitchenette and a mezzanine with a confortable futton to enjoy the views to the garden and a small desk. Quinta do Jogadouro is a perfect romantic honeymoon cottage, champagne, fruit, flowers by arrangement. A place where energy flows with serendipity!

Rio Maior the so called, city of sports (swimming, horse-ride, golf and trekking) also has got a perfect harmony with the countryside. Salinas de Rio Maior are located about 3 km from the city center and fit in a valley at the foot of the Mountain of Lights, in the Natural Park of Serra de Aire and Lamps. Historical Inheritage since 1997 they are unique and the only ones still working within the whole Europe. Its history dated from 1177 but it is believed that the use of rock salt would already exist since pre-history. Surrounded by vineyards and farmland Salinas are considered a wonder of nature, since the sea is 20 km away at Foz do Arelho at Silver Coast where we can find wonderful beaches always next to places where we can have a nice meal for very reasonable prices like Baleal beach and Peniche with its unforgetable seafood gastronomy. Other places of interest are Berlengas Island with beautiful Grotto, Caldas da Rainha and the famous Bordalo Pinheiro artworks museum.

Reservations should be considered valid only after deposit of 50% of the price agreed. The price per week (breakfast and linnen included) is: - 1000 € (4 persons) at the Main House Jogadouro - 500 € (2 persons) at the House of the Chapel. If we consider the whole property rented for 6 persons then the period rate per week is 1500 €

A modern property with the whole confort we can expect from the city town; however we feel like time has stopped once we look as if we were leaving in a quiet relaxing atmosphere in the midlle of ancient grove quite different from the city center, just a few minutes by car and 20 minutes walking. In the main house, sleeps 4, there are 3 open space divisions each joined by a wooden stairways on fireplace backwards. Higher Level: mezzanine with living room / one double-room with Bathroom en suite / a veranda with panoramic view to beautiful gardens, at the other side windows to dining terrace/barbecue and garden. Lower Level: Bedroom also with bathroom en suite is reached by stairways down, with double bed and decorated in bright Indian colours. The kitchen (fully equipped - oven, 4 hobs, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, etc.) with door to outside gardens that surrounds the whole house. Large living/ dinning room with fireplace. The main house is surronded by ancient trees and there is also a smaller house - the House of the Chapel - completely independent from the main house. Here we have one double room with private bathroom and a small kitchenette; there is also a small mezzanine with a confortable futton where we can sit down confortably looking at the beautiful gardens down the terrace. Both houses have a common outside terrace where meals can be served and also can enjoy a relaxing time owhile reading or just having a nice "siesta"!...

Outside Area:Beautiful gardens and ancient trees including magnolia and ceddars trees with hundreds of years... a river walks along the whole property. Several pathways with small "nichos" where we can have several groups independently having their own activity,
