Key Largo is the northernmost island of the Florida Keys island chain and lies only an hour’s drive from South Florida’s two major airports. It is sandwiched between Everglades National Park to the west and the fish-covered coral formations of North America’s only living coral barrier reef to the east. Six miles offshore in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary you will find the wreck of the Spiegel Grove, a 510-foot Navy ship intentionally scuttled in June 2002 as the backbone for a new coral reef. Locals consider Key Largo the Diving Capital of the World, but the island is also famous as a sport-fishing destination. Some of the best charter captains and fishing guides in the world work out of Key Largo. You can go after sailfish offshore, bonefish along the Atlantic shallows, or redfish and tarpon in Florida Bay.

This two-bedroom condominium has everything you need for your holiday in the Keys. A beautiful view of Blackwater Sound greets you each morning. Enjoy your meals right next to the fabulous view in the dining area. The main living area has a super comfortable leather sectional that faces a 42" flat screen HDTV with basic cable and of-air HD channels. You will also find the stereo and DVD player here, as well as a cable to hook up your iPod to play through the receiver. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you will need. Besides the usual (coffee maker, toaster, blender, microwave, kettle, pots, pans, dishes, cups, linens) you will also find spices, trash bags, dish soap, dishwasher soap, foil, plastic storage bags, paper towels and storage containers. We find it helpful for when we stay there and hope you do too! There is a king bed in one room and a queen bed in the second, both have a change of sheets. There is also a pack-n-play and a full size air bed if you need extra bedding. The couch in the front room by the entrance is a pull-out queen.

Outside Area:Moon Bay Condominiums is kept in tip top shape by the property management. It is gated, so the only people who can get in are either residents or guests. The A building (which our unit is in) parallels the main road. The entrances to the units are off this side, allowing for the living areas to be on the water view side. You take the stairs or lift down to the first floor, walk though the parking lot and past the townhouses to find the pool - it takes about three minutes. The main pool is heated and has a very large deck. It is right next to the clubhouse which has the pool table, televisions, restrooms and indoor sitting area. From the clubhouse, you will see the barbecue area right next to the marina. The marina is a great place to fish and watch the sunset. There is a fish cleaning station on the docks.
