Lying to the east of Bordeaux, between the Garonne and Dordogne rivers, the Entre-deux-Mers is a paradise of gently rolling hills dotted with picturesque medieval villages, just waiting to be discovered. Domaine Jean-Got is situated in Lugaignac, a mere 10 km from historic Saint Emilion and its world-famous vineyards. Built in the 17th century, originally a watermill, Domaine Jean-Got was later a farm and vineyard. Today, the house and outbuildings stand on a three-hectare plot of land, a hundred metres from the nearby lane, in a peaceful rural community. On either side of the driveway you are free to enjoy 1 ½ hectares of pasture, with both a small natural stream and a brand-new 10mX5m swimming pool.

Bordeaux – gateway to Aquitaine, capital of the Gironde, a truly international city steeped in culture and tradition. In 2007 it was elected a UNESCO World Heritage site, as was Saint Emilion in 1999. Of course, the region is a winelover's paradise, with a wealth of different terroirs: Entre-Deux-Mers, St. Emilion, Graves, Medoc, Sauternes…. A little farther and you reach the coast. Discover the Bassin d`Arcachon and the Dune de Pyla, Europe's highest sand-dune, or avoid the crowds thanks to kilometres of fine, sandy beaches on the Atlantic side.

The Mill was first renovated in 1996 and completely refurbished in 2009. Here too we are looking to create a tranquil atmosphere in a comfortable "modern cottage" style. The ground floor houses a spacious sitting-room cum dining-room with a fitted kitchen corner. The two larger bedrooms, one with en suite bathroom, are on the first floor; there is another single room on the ground floor, with a second shower-room and WC also next to the main room. A further attraction is the spacious (40 m2) walled courtyard with covered patio, ideal for alfresco eating, sunbathing or just sitting and letting the world go by...
