Calahonda apartment near 3 Golf courses - Costa del Sol family holiday apartment

Our apartment is located in Cascadas de Calahonda, a prestigious development nestled into the hillside above the coastal resort of Calahonda. It benefits from glorious views over the Mediterranean and is very peaceful whilst having easy access to the wide variety of attractions on offer from this region. It is a gated community and therefore very safe and secure with access via a locked pedestian entrance or remotely controlled garage and then a lift to the first floor apartment. This means that the apartment is fully accessible to the disabled, elderly or small children. The grounds have been beautifully landscaped, with a profusion of mature plants, around the feature water cascades which have given the complex its name. There is also a pretty lily pond which has many flowers which open each day in response to the sun, while bananas, lemons and pomegranates can be seen growing in the grounds.The local weather is glorious averaging above 20 degrees for the whole year which makes it an ideal all year destination. Cascadas has 2 stunning swimming pools to choose from each with showers and toilets and a plentiful supply of comfortable sun-loungers and umbrellas. The nearest pool to the apartment can be accessed via the lift into the garage thus making it accessible to the less able. The apartment is well furnished and fully equipped for your convenience. Bed linen and indoor towels are included. The terrace has glorious sea and hill views and has a comfortable balance of sun and shade throughout the day. Though car hire is recommended, there is a land-train which runs hourly from outside the complex down into the centre of Calahonda enabling access to the many shops and restaurants. There is much to explore in the area around Calahonda from the traditional Spanish white villages nestled in the hills, to the fashionable shopping resorts such as Marbella as well as the many tourist attractions and night life for all the family in Benalmadena and Fuengirola.

As Cascadas de Calahonda is located approximately 300m above sea level and around 1 km away from the main centre, the views are glorious and the location very peaceful. Take a 15 minute walk to a picturesque Plaza with a choice of 3 restaurants and a small supermarket, however the 5 minute drive down to the centre of Calahonda will bring a choice of many other eating establishments and shops to suit every taste. The stunning beach at Cabopino, which has ample free parking, is nearby and has something for everyone! Sunbeds are available for those who want to relax and watersports for the more active while the selection of beach restaurants and bars will appeal to everyone. Traditional Spanish white villages such as Mijas and Casares are well worth a visit For those interested in sports, the Club del Sol Leisure Sports Complex is just down the road and offers tennis, squash and a gym, alongside a bar and children’s playroom. If golf is your preferred sport, then you are spoiled for choice as there are 3 Golf courses within 5 minutes of the apartment, Cabopinio Golf, Miraflores Golf and Siesta Golf. . If a quiet night in is your preferred option, there are several take-away restaurants locally who will deliver and an english DVD hire shop.Families with children will enjoy Tivoli World in Benalmadena and cable car rides to the Calamorro mountain.

Rental notes: A damage deposit of £100 is payable before travel and will be retuned within 2 weeks of departure once the apartment has been checked. Although bath towels are provided , we would ask that you bring your own beach towels for outside use. You will be met by our local representatives on your arrival who will show you in and familiarise you with the apartment and surroundings.

The apartment can be accessed via a lift from the garage below. On opening the front door one enters into the open plan living and dining accomodation which opens out onto the terrace via patio doors. The apartment is comfortably equipped and furnished for 4 people with all that you should require to enjoy your holiday. The entertainment system in the lounge comprises of a TV, DVD, CD player and radio. The Master bedroom is of generous proportions and is fitted with a double bed and extensive wardrobes. All bed linen and towels are included at no extra cost . It has a beautiful en-suite bathroom with marble tiling and underfloor heating. The second bedroom also has a double bed and fitted wardrobes and benefits from the second bathroom which has a superb large corner shower. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your culinary needs and boasts a luxurious granite worktop and ceramic hob. The utility room houses a washing machine, iron and ironing board, should you require it.
