La Salle vacation apartment in Val d`Aosta - Ski holiday home near Mont Blanc

Two double bedroom, two bathroom apartment with lounge with log fireplace and balconies with a view over waterfall and the Grivola mountain. Building has classic stone roof, wooden floors and thick walls, it is on two levels and has a garden and private parking. It is close to but out of audible range of a main road, motorway and railway, the road outside is regularly cleared in the event of snow. The local village has an excellent butcher, pizzeria, bar, newsagent, post office, bank and grocery shops. There is a major supermarket within 3km, and a hot spa 8km away. Courmayeur's luxury shopping and nightlife is also within easy reach. Down hill ski resorts of Courmayeur, La Thuile, Pila, Cervinia, Chomonix and a number of smaller resorts are easy to reach for a day's sking by car. Cross country ski resorts of Arpy, Val Ferret and Cogne are also easy to reach. Heliski is possible from Val Grisanche and La Thuile. Ice Skating at Courmayeur. Ski Hire is available at Morgex and at all to major resorts.

Views:Waterfall, Grivola mountain, village and childrens playground. Mont Blanc is visable from close by.

The flat is in a small hamlet with a Church and is part of La Salle which occupies the sunniest part of the Valdigne, upper Aosta valley. The flat is close to the Milan/Turin Mont Blanc tunnel motorway (exit 3km), Railway (station 900m) and main road (300m) but cannot hear them. The roads outside are cleared when it snows. Despite the proximity of public transport a car is recommended to get the best out of a holiday here. The main village has an 2 excellent butchers, a pizzeria, grocery shops, post office, doctor, bars, newsagent and bank. Morgex is 3km with big supermarket, full range of shops, restaurants, banks and ski hire. Courmayeur with down hill ski, luxury shopping, bars, restaurants, nightlife, ice skating, rock climbing wall and off piste skiing is 11 km. La Thuile with down hill skiing, a ski link with French resort of La Rosiere and heliski is 13km. Cross country skiing is available at Morgex-Arpy and Val Ferret-Courmayeur and Cogne is reachable. In the summer besides all the climbing on the Mont Blanc Massif there is excellent hiking throughout the Aosta Valley and a lot of good walking with easy reach of the flat.

Rental notes: A £150 booking fee is required to resererve the apartment this is returnable 15 days after the end of the booking period if the property is returned in good order. The full rental plus cleaning fee of £50 is requied 2 weeks before the start of the booking period. In the event that the full fee is not received the deposit will be forfeit and the flat re-advertised. Cancellation is accepted up to 4 weeks before the start of the booking.

A double bedroom on the first floor with double bed, balcony and wooden floors. Separate bathroom with shower, basin, bidet lavatory and washing machine, fully tiled. Open plan lounge diner with fireplace, balcony, and kitchen area. Kitchen is fully equiped with dishwasher, fridge freezer, kettle, 4 burner cooker with oven and microwave. Dining area has extendable dining table and 6 chairs Lounge has sofa and armchairs, TV, video, DVD, cd player, wifi. The lower floor has a twin bedroom with ensuite bathroom and door to the garden.

Outside Area:The building has been restored in a traditional way by one of the best architects in the valley using stone plaster and wood with a traditional stone roof. The apartment has two balconies at the front overlooking the garden and a childrens playground. There is a large overed area ousdie the front door used as woodstore and sutable for keeping skis and boots.
